Creator Pitch Scripts
— Copy. Customize. Send.

Four actual scripts — not frameworks. A cold email, a DM pitch, a follow-up after silence, and a rate negotiation response. Written in the direct, confident voice of someone who knows what they're worth.

From Katherine

The reason most creators never send a pitch isn't laziness. It's that staring at a blank page and trying to write something professional feels impossible when you've never done it before. These are the exact scripts I use. Change the brackets. Change anything that doesn't sound like you. But stop waiting until you find the "perfect" words — these words work right now.

Script 1 — The Cold Email Pitch

Use when you've found the right contact's email through LinkedIn, Hunter.io, or the brand's creator program page.

Cold Email — Subject Line Options (pick one) Option A: UGC Creator for [Category] — [Your Name] Option B: Creator Partnership Inquiry — [Your Name] / [Your Niche] Option C: [Specific Product] Content Creator — Available Now ───────────────────────────────────── Hi [First Name], I'm [Your Name], a UGC creator specializing in [your niche — e.g. mom lifestyle, wellness, home organization]. I've been using [specific product] for [time period] and genuinely love it — [one specific thing you love about it]. That kind of real experience is what makes UGC content perform: it's not a script, it's an actual opinion from someone who uses the product. I create content for brands to use in their organic social and paid campaigns — no following required on my end, just high-quality, authentic video that performs. What I'm proposing: • [Number] × [Length] UGC video(s) in [format] • Delivered within [timeline] • Starting at $[Rate] for raw content / $[Rate] for edited I'd love to send over my portfolio — takes about 2 minutes to look through. Would that be helpful? [Your Name] [Portfolio link] [Contact info]

Script 2 — The DM Pitch (Instagram or TikTok)

Use for brands you've identified that you genuinely use and would love to work with. Keep it short. DMs are scanned, not read.

DM Pitch — Short, specific, direct (3–4 sentences only) Hi [Brand Name] team, I'm a UGC creator in the [beauty / wellness / home / mom life] space and I've been using [specific product] for [timeframe] — [one honest, specific thing about it you genuinely like, not generic praise]. I create content for brands to use in their marketing — no posting on my page, just authentic video your team can use in ads or organic. I'd love to share my portfolio if you're open to it: [your link] [Your Name] | [your @handle]

Why this works: The specific product detail and the honest observation is what separates this from every other DM in their inbox. "I've been using your mascara for three months and the formula doesn't migrate — that's rare at this price point" gets opened. "I love your brand!" doesn't.

Script 3 — The Follow-Up (After No Response)

Send this 5–7 business days after your first pitch if you've heard nothing. One follow-up is professional. Two is persistent. Three is too many.

Follow-Up Email — Keep It Short Subject: Re: [Original Subject Line] Hi [First Name], Just following up on my message from [Day] — wanted to make sure it didn't get buried. Happy to send my portfolio first if that's easier: [portfolio link] If the timing isn't right, no worries at all — I'll check back in a couple of months. [Your Name]

Script 4 — Rate Negotiation Response

Use when a brand comes back with a lower offer than your rate, or asks "what are your rates?" after you've already sent a number. This is where your B2B sales training is your unfair advantage — nobody else in their inbox handles this like you're about to.

When They Lowball You Hi [Name], Thanks for coming back on this — I appreciate it. I understand budgets have limits, and I want to find something that works for both of us. My rate of $[Your Rate] reflects [deliverable specifics + usage rights included]. A couple of options depending on your budget: Option A — $[Your Rate]: [Full original deliverable + usage terms] Option B — $[Lower Rate]: [Reduced scope — e.g. 1 video instead of 2, shorter usage window] Both options include the same content quality. The difference is scope and usage rights. Which direction works better for where you're at right now? [Your Name]

Claude Prompt — Personalize Your Pitch
I'm personalizing a UGC creator cold email pitch for this specific brand. Here's what I know about them: Brand: [Brand Name] Product I want to create content for: [Specific Product] How long I've used it: [Time period] One specific thing I genuinely love about it: [Honest detail] My niche: [Your niche] My rate for this type of content: $[Rate] Usage rights I'm offering: [Organic only / Paid ads] Using the cold email script template below as a starting point, rewrite it to feel completely specific to this brand — not like a template, like I actually sat down and wrote it just for them. Keep my voice: warm, direct, confident, no corporate speak. Under 150 words total. [Paste your script template here]

Your first pitch goal
Send 3 pitches this week. Not when you feel ready. This week. Use the cold email script for one brand, the DM script for one brand, and the direct pitch for one brand you already have a relationship with. Track all three in the Pitch Tracker. The first one is the hardest. The second one is easier. By the third one it feels like a system.
