UGC AI Launchpad
— From Zero to First Pitch in 7 Days

This is the exact process I used to go from "I have some content on my phone" to having a live portfolio, applying to multiple platforms, and sending my first brand outreach — using AI at every step to work faster and sound better than I would have alone.

From Katherine — This one is personal

I want to be really transparent about how I started my own UGC journey because I think it's more useful to you than any general advice I could give. I didn't start with a full portfolio, a professional setup, or a plan. I started by going through my phone and asking AI to help me figure out what I already had. That first conversation with Claude changed the whole thing — because instead of starting from scratch, I realized I was already halfway there. This module is that conversation, structured so you can do the same thing right now.

— Katherine Rodriguez

Day 1 — Audit What You Already Have

Most people who feel like they're "starting from zero" in UGC are not starting from zero. They have a phone full of content they've never organized. Products on their shelves they use daily and have opinions about. Social posts they've made that are already UGC-quality. The first step is not creating anything new — it's taking inventory of what exists.

Use Claude — Content Audit (Start Here)

Open Claude and paste this prompt. Be as specific as possible in your answers — the more detail you give, the more useful the output.

I'm starting my UGC creator journey and I want to audit what I already have before I film anything new. Here's what I have right now: - Phone camera roll: [Describe what's in there — e.g. product photos I've taken, morning routine videos, unboxing clips, food photos, mom/family content] - Social media content I've already posted: [List platforms and describe the type of content you post] - Products I own and use regularly that could be reviewed: [List 5–10 products across any category] - My niche or what I naturally talk about/create around: [Describe] Based on this, help me: 1. Identify which existing content pieces are already portfolio-ready or close to it 2. Flag which products from my list would make the strongest UGC targets and why 3. Tell me what video types I should prioritize based on what I already naturally create 4. Give me a list of 10 brands I should look into pitching based on my niche and product list Be specific. Treat this like you're a UGC coach giving me a real audit.

Day 2 — Build Your Creator Bio

Your creator bio appears on every platform you apply to — Billo, Insense, Trend.io, TikTok Shop, Amazon Influencer. A weak bio gets you passed over. A specific, confident bio gets you approved and noticed by brands browsing the platform. Use AI to build yours right.

Use Claude — Creator Bio Builder
I need to write my UGC creator bio for platforms like Billo, Insense, Trend.io, and TikTok Shop affiliate. This bio needs to tell brands who I am, what I create, and why they should pick me — without sounding generic. Here's my information: - My name: [Name] - My niche(s): [e.g. mom life, wellness, home, beauty, coffee culture] - Types of content I create: [e.g. testimonials, lifestyle B-roll, tutorials, unboxings] - My background (in real life, not creator): [e.g. 10 years in sales, stay-at-home mom of 4, former teacher] - What makes my content authentic: [e.g. I actually use these products, I'm a real mom with real opinions, I have a sales background so I understand what converts] - Brands or product categories I love and want to work with: [List] Write me: 1. A short bio (under 100 words) for UGC platform applications 2. A longer bio (150–200 words) for my portfolio cover page 3. A one-line creator positioning statement for my Linktree/link in bio Make the tone warm, direct, and specific — not generic creator-speak. It should sound like a real person wrote it.

Day 3 — Apply to All the Platforms

Apply everywhere in one day. Don't wait until your portfolio feels "ready enough." Apply now, film while you wait for approval, and have content ready to upload the moment you're in.

The Platform Checklist

Use Claude — Platform Application Answers
I'm applying to UGC creator platforms (Billo, Insense, Trend.io) and they ask me similar questions on each application. Help me write answers I can reuse and adapt. My details: - Niche: [Your niche] - Content types I create: [List] - Equipment: [Phone model / any ring light or mic] - Social following (approximate): [Numbers by platform] - Products I'm most interested in creating for: [Categories] - Why I want to do UGC: [Your real reason] Write answers for these common application questions: 1. "Tell us about yourself as a creator" (50–75 words) 2. "What types of brands do you want to work with?" (2–3 sentences) 3. "What makes your content stand out?" (2–3 sentences) 4. "Describe your content creation process" (3–4 sentences) 5. "What are your rates?" (1–2 sentences — keep flexible for now) Make every answer specific to me based on the details above. No generic creator language.

Day 4 — Film Your First 3 Spec Videos

While your applications are processing, film 3 videos from the Portfolio Builder assignments. You need at minimum a Testimonial, an Unboxing, and a Lifestyle piece before your first application gets reviewed. Don't wait for approval before filming — film while you wait so you're ready to upload immediately.

Use Claude — Script for Your First Video
I'm filming my first UGC spec video and I want it to be the strongest possible piece for my portfolio. Here are the details: Product I'm filming: [Product name and what it is] Video type: [Testimonial / Unboxing / Tutorial / Problem-Solution] My honest experience with this product: [Real thoughts — good and bad] My niche and typical audience: [Describe] Target length: [30 / 45 / 60 seconds] Write me a word-for-word script that: - Sounds completely natural — like I'm talking to a friend, not reading - Leads with the result or the problem (not "Hi, today I'm reviewing...") - Includes specific details that make it credible (not vague praise) - Ends with a clear, confident close - Fits in the target length when spoken at a conversational pace Also give me: the exact shot list for filming this video (what to capture and in what order).

Day 5 — Identify Your First 10 Brand Targets

Don't wait to be discovered on a platform. Simultaneously build a list of brands you genuinely use and want to pitch directly. Direct outreach consistently outperforms waiting for platform matches — especially when you're new.

Use Claude — Brand Target List Builder
I need to build a list of 10 brands to cold pitch for UGC work. Help me identify the right targets based on my profile. My niche: [Your niche] Products I use daily that I could genuinely review: [List 5–8 real products you own] My price range per video: $125–$175 (beginner rates) Platforms I'm creating for: [TikTok / Instagram / Both] My content style: [Describe — e.g. warm, authentic, mom-life, educational, lifestyle] For each of the 10 brands you suggest, tell me: 1. The brand name and what they sell 2. Why they're a good fit for my niche and content style 3. Where to find the right contact (LinkedIn job title to search, or if they have a creator program page) 4. The specific product from their line I should reference in my pitch 5. Whether they typically use UGC in their advertising (based on what you know) Prioritize brands that: (a) are active on TikTok or Instagram, (b) have budgets for creator marketing (not just tiny startups), and (c) align with my authentic niche.

Day 6 — Write and Send Your First 3 Pitches

Use the Pitch Scripts to write personalized outreach for your top 3 brand targets from yesterday. Log each one in the Pitch Tracker so you know exactly when to follow up.

Use Claude — Personalized First Pitch
I'm sending my first UGC creator pitch to a brand I genuinely use and love. Help me write it. Brand: [Brand Name] Product I want to create for: [Specific product] Why I love it (honest): [Real reason] How long I've used it: [Time period] What type of content I'm proposing: [e.g. one 30-second testimonial video] My rate for this: $[Amount] My portfolio link: [Link] Contact I'm pitching to: [Name / Title if known] Method: [Email / Instagram DM / LinkedIn] Write me a personalized pitch that: - Is under 120 words (email) or under 50 words (DM) - Leads with my genuine connection to the product - Is clear about what I'm offering and at what rate - Ends with a soft CTA (not pushy) - Sounds nothing like a template Also write me a follow-up message to send 5 business days later if I don't hear back.

Day 7 — Review, Iterate, Keep Going

By Day 7 you have: a portfolio folder, 3+ spec videos filmed, applications in at multiple platforms, a brand target list, and at least 3 pitches sent. That's not a plan. That's a business in motion.

Now the work shifts from setup to iteration. Check your platform applications daily. Follow up on pitches on Day 12 (5 business days from send). Film 2 more spec videos this week. Apply to 2 more platforms. Send 3 more pitches.

The 30-Day Creator Challenge

Your first 30 days in numbers

10 spec videos filmed. 5 platforms applied to. 3 platforms approved on. 15 brand pitches sent. 1 paid deal landed — however small. That's the 30-day goal. It's completely achievable. The creators who hit it are the ones who use this launchpad as a daily reference, not a one-time read.
