How to Use This Course for Maximum Impact

The difference between people who transform their lives and people who just consume content? How they engage with it.

You've probably taken courses before where you read every module, nodded along, felt inspired for a few days—and then did absolutely nothing with it. This time is going to be different. Here's how to actually get results:

The Most Important Rule

Do the work before moving on.

Every module has exercises, reflection questions, or action steps. Don't skip them. Don't say "I'll come back to this."

The people who get results are the ones who treat this like the investment it is—not like Netflix.

How to Approach Each Module Type

📚 Teaching Modules (Week 2, 3)

What they are: Modules that explain psychology, opportunities, or strategies. These are content-heavy.

How to use them:

  • Read actively. Take notes. Highlight what resonates. Write down questions that come up.
  • Look for examples you recognize. Every time I share a story or example, ask yourself: "Have I done something similar?"
  • Apply it immediately. After learning about listening or storytelling or questions, try using it in a real conversation that same day. Even if it's just with your kid or your partner.
  • Don't rush. It's better to deeply understand one module than to skim through five.

✏️ Reflection & Exercise Modules (Week 1, 4)

What they are: Modules designed to help you recognize your own skills, confront limiting beliefs, or plan your next steps.

How to use them:

  • Actually write your answers. Don't just think about them. The act of writing forces clarity.
  • Be honest. These aren't graded. No one's judging you. The more honest you are, the more useful this will be.
  • Save your answers. Keep a doc or notebook with all your reflections. You'll want to revisit them later.
  • If something feels uncomfortable, lean into it. That's usually where the breakthrough is.

🎯 Action-Step Modules (Week 4)

What they are: Modules that give you specific, actionable steps to take right now.

How to use them:

  • Do them before moving on. Seriously. If Week 4 tells you to update your LinkedIn, do it that day. Don't wait.
  • Start small. You don't have to do everything perfectly. Just start. Progress beats perfection.
  • Track what you've done. Check off each action step. It'll keep you motivated.
  • Don't overthink. Just take the next right step. The one after that will reveal itself.

How to Apply This Across All Three Paths

One of the best parts of this course? The psychology and skills you learn apply whether you're pursuing W2 B2B sales, 1099 contract work, or building your own service-based business.

So even if you're not 100% sure which path you're taking yet, keep all three in mind as you go through the course. Notice how the same principles apply everywhere.

Example: Week 2 Module on Listening

If you're pursuing W2 B2B: You'll use active listening on discovery calls with prospects.

If you're pursuing 1099 contract work: You'll use it to understand what clients actually need before proposing solutions.

If you're building service-based: You'll use it to diagnose problems and position your expertise.

Same skill. Different context. That's the power of understanding the psychology.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

❌ Mistake 1: Skipping the "boring" parts

Week 1 might feel basic. Do it anyway. The mindset shift is the foundation for everything else.

❌ Mistake 2: Rushing through to "finish"

This isn't a race. Depth > speed. It's better to fully absorb one week than to skim through all four.

❌ Mistake 3: Not writing anything down

If you don't write it, you won't remember it. Keep a notebook or doc for this course.

❌ Mistake 4: Waiting to feel ready before taking action

Week 4 gives you action steps. Do them immediately. Don't wait until you "feel ready." You won't.

❌ Mistake 5: Comparing yourself to others

This is YOUR journey. It doesn't matter how fast someone else moves. Just keep showing up.

How This Course Works WITH the Mentorship

This course gives you the foundation. It teaches you the psychology, reveals the opportunities, and shows you your first step.

But turning that knowledge into income requires implementation. Personalized strategy. Real-time feedback. Someone to help you navigate the hard parts. That's what the mentorship program is for.

Think of it like this:

This course is the blueprint. It shows you how houses are built, what's possible, and where to start.

The mentorship is the general contractor. It's the person who walks beside you, adjusts the plan for YOUR situation, and makes sure you actually finish the house.

We'll talk more about the full mentorship program in Week 4. For now, focus on building your foundation.

Ready to Start?

Before you jump into Week 1, take a moment to commit. Not just to finishing this course. But to actually doing the work. To showing up for yourself. To taking this seriously.

The thing nobody tells you about online courses:

Feeling inspired and taking action are two completely different things. You can finish every module, nod along to everything, feel like it all makes sense—and still be in the exact same place six months from now.

The difference between that and actually changing your situation? Acting before you feel ready. Sending emails before you feel polished. Applying before you feel 100% qualified.

That’s the instruction for how to use this course: act before you’re ready. It’s also the first skill of sales.
